Dear all,
People who know me pretty well know my habit of scanning every possible book I come across on Tamil/Sangam literature. My laptop is mini library in itself. Then I came across Digital Library of India initiative, nationalized book collection of Tamil academy, Internet archive which have great collection of scanned books and ebooks. I usually download lot of books from these collections. Then suddenly one day I found the book which made me interested into Tamil literature – Kamil Zvelebil’s ‘Smile of Murugan’ in the Internet archive, a books which is often requested by my blog readers- I decided to make list of all available legal ebooks on Tamil literature available on a single platform and construct an elibrary. Atleast 100 hours of work has gone into mining into all above mentioned source and organizing them. All books currently in the collection are in English language. Cataloging all books written in Tamil would require 100 times more effort, which I would be doing in very phased manner. I will update the collection whenever possible.
I hope this effort would be of help to many people. I dedicate this effort to my inspiration late Dr.Kamil Zvelebil.
The first books of this library collection would be of no surprise – it is Smile of Murugan.
