வான்கொண்டு கிளர்ந்தெழுந்த மாமுகில்காள் வேங்கடத்துத்
தேன்கொண்ட மலர்ச்சிதறத் திரண்டேறிப் பொழிவீர்காள்
ஊன்கொண்ட வள்ளுகிரால் இரணியனை யுடலிடந்தான்
தான்கொண்ட சரிவளைகள் தருமாகில் சாற்றுமினே.
Oh clouds, you soar and rise to possess the sky
Can you ascend and pour on Vengadam
to splatter the honey possessed by the flowers!
Can you announce to the one,
who possessed body of Hiranya and tore his flesh with his sharp nails
to give back the bangles in his possession, which slipped off from my hands (due to love sickness)!

வான் கொண்டு கிளர்ச்சியுடன் எழும் மாபெரும் மேகங்களே வேங்கடத்து
தேன் கொண்ட மலர்கள் சிதறத் திரண்டு எழுந்து பொழியுங்கள்
தசை கொண்டு இரண்யன் உடலை கூர் நகங்களால் கிழித்த எம் பெருமானிடம்
தான் கொண்ட, காதல் நோயால் சரிந்த என் வயலகளை திரும்ப தருமாறு கூறுவீர்களா?
When girl is in love sickness she loses weight. Her previously fitting bangles slip of as she has grown thin. Here Andal asks Mal to come back so that she gains her beauty, so that she can wear her bangles again.
Andal alludes that What is use of honey if it stays in the flowers without the bee. (Bee gets attracted by honey and helps flower pollinate, hence creating new life and fertility for the world). Similarly what is the use of my soul if it is not consummated by Mal? so she is asking the clouds to pass this message to Mal.
