Tamil Grammar theme and Oodha Color Ribbon


Thinai: பிரிவுழிக் கலங்கல் – Hero’s Sadness after leaving heroine (after falling in love with her at first sight)

Situation is subdivided into few more themes as per Aga porul vilakkam verse 133

ஆய வெள்ளம் வழிபடக் கண்டு இது
மாயமோ என்றலும் , வாயில் பெற்று உய்தலும்,
பண்பு பாராட்டலும் , பயந்தோர்ப் பழிச்சலும்,
கண்படை பெறாது கங்குல் நோதலும் , எனும்
ஐந்தும் பிரிவுழிக் கலங்கல் விரி ஆகும்.

1. aya vellam valipatak kantitu mayamo enral – Hero sees the heroine with her friends, he doubts whether he has impressed her

2. Vayil petru uithal – Hero thinks of making heroine’s friend a messenger

3. Panpu parattal – hero praises heroine’s qualities

4. Payanthor pazhiccal – Hero admires one who grave birth to the heroine

5. Kanpatai perathu kangul nothal – Hero suffers from sleeplessness at night

Note point 4 ! Hero admires one who grave birth to the heroine –

Oodha color ribbon unnaku yarudi appan – soladi avanuku nan salam podanum, Roja color bommi yar unnaku mommy solladi na avaluku sabash podanum….So if you felt Oodha color ribbon was fresh idea in lyrics.. it simply means you didn’t read Tamil grammar in school!
