இல்லா ளகத்திருக்க இல்லாத தொன்றில்லை
இல்லாளும் இல்லாளே யாமாயின்-இல்லாள்
வலிகிடந்த மாற்ற முரைக்குமேல் அவ்வில்
புலிகிடந்த தூறாய் விடும்.
If your wife is at your home
there is nothing that is not available (everything would be in place and taken care off )
but if your wide is not at your home or
if your wife speaks harsh words
then your house
becomes like a forest inhabited by a tiger!

இல்லாள் அகத்து இருக்க இல்லாதது ஒன்று இல்லை
Wife – home – stay – nothing – not – available
இல்லாளும் இல்லாளே ஆம் ஆயின்- இல்லாள்
wife- without – (house) become – (or) wife
வலிகிடந்த மாற்றம் உரைக்கு மேல்
harsh – painful – words – speak – in that case
அவ் வில் புலி கிடந்த தூறு ஆய் விடும்
that – house – tiger – reside – forest – become
இல்லாள் அகத்து இருக்க – (நற்குண நற்செய்கைகளையுடைய) மனையாள் வீட்டில் இருக்கின், இல்லாதது ஒன்று இல்லை – (அவ் வீட்டில்) இல்லாத பொருள் ஒன்றுமில்லை, இல்லாளும் இல்லாளே ஆம் ஆயின் – மனையாள் இல்லாமற் போயினும், இல்லாள் வலிகிடந்த மாற்றம் உரைக்கு மேல் – மனையாள் கடுமை பொருந்திய சொற்களைச் சொல்லினும், அவ் வில் புலி கிடந்த தூறு ஆய் விடும் – அவ் வீடு புலி தங்கிய புதர்போல் ஆய்விடும்.
