குறுந்தொகை 15, ஔவையார், பாலைத் திணை – செவிலித்தாய் தலைவியின் தாயிடம் சொன்னது
பறைபடப் பணிலம் ஆர்ப்ப, இறை கொள்பு
தொன் மூது ஆலத்துப் பொதியில் தோன்றிய
நாலூர்க் கோசர் நன் மொழி போல
வாயாகின்றே தோழி, ஆய் கழல்
சேயிலை வெள் வேல் விடலையொடு 5
தொகு வளை முன் கை மடந்தை நட்பே.

பறை முழங்க, சங்கு ஒலிக்க, மக்கள் கூட
தொன்மையான ஆலமரத்துப் பொதுவிடத்தில் தோன்றும்
நாலூர்க் கோசர்களின் சத்தியத்தை போல
நடக்கிறதே தோழி, அழகான வீரக் கழலையும்
செவ்விலைக் கொண்ட வெற்றி வேளையும் உடைய இளைஞனோடு
அணிஅணியாக வளைகள் அணிந்த முன்கையையுடைய மடந்தையின் காதல்.

பறை முழங்க, சங்கு ஒலிக்க, திருமணத்திற்கு மக்கள்கூட
தொன்மையான ஆலமரத்துப் பொதுவிடத்தில் தோன்றிய
நாலூர்க் கோசர்களின் சத்தியத்தை போல பலித்தது
தோழி, அழகான வீரக் கழலையும்
செவ்விலைக் கொண்ட வெற்றி வேளையும் உடைய இளைஞனோடு
அணிஅணியாக வளைகள் அணிந்த முன்கையையுடைய உன் இளம் பெண்ணின் காதல்.

My friend,
Like the oath of
Kosars of four cities
Who assembled in the
ancient common grounds
under the old Banyan tree
Where Parai drums were beaten
and conch roared
Became true,
The love/friendship of (your) girl
with rows of bangles on her forearm
for the youth/chieftain
with warrior anklet
and bright lance with red tip
Is true
Translation 2:
My friend,
Sounds of beaten Parai drums and roars of
conch roars fill the wedding
as the,
The love/friendship of (your) girl
with rows of bangles on her forearm
for the youth/chieftain
with warrior anklet
and bright lance with red tip
Is true
Like the oath of
Kosars of four cities
Who assembled in the

If we assume music fills Wedding than translation 2. If we assume people gathered than translation 1.
